Kitsap Conservation District provides natural resource conservation services for most of the Kitsap Peninsula, including two islands – Bainbridge and Blake – and over 250 miles of shoreline. Kitsap CD collaborates with farmers, residents, and businesses to work toward conservation goals, and offers technical assistance to landowners to help preserve natural resources.

Highlight

Kitsap CD’s GRACE garden project is a three-quarter acre community garden located at the Kitsap CD office with on-site demonstrations of conservation methods, low-flow irrigation design, and season extension techniques. In 2018, the garden provided over 12,000 pounds of fresh vegetables for the Central Kitsap Foodbank. As partners with the Mission Creek Corrections Center for Women (MCCCW) in Belfair, the GRACE Garden also provides and restorative justice opportunities for their community service work crew.
